You Were Given Your Dreams to Live Them

I do not believe any of us were given dreams that were not meant to be accomplished. But to produce unreasonable results, you have to be willing to become an unreasonable person.

I do not believe any of us were given dreams that were not meant for the sake of accomplishing them. And if you want to produce unreasonable results in your life — living your dream, taking charge of your destiny — you have to be willing to become an unreasonable person.

But we must stop being a victim to life, to the people who do not support us, to an environment and surroundings that are toxic to who we are. We must evict the inner voices telling us what we cannot do, and amplify the voices that cry out that it is possible.

I do not believe any of us were given dreams that were not meant to be accomplished. But to produce unreasonable results, you have to be willing to become an unreasonable person.

We can spend our entire lives arguing for our limitations, but understand that when we argue for them, we get to keep them. And the more we let ourselves be encumbered by the chains that bind us, the more the life we live becomes something devoid of passion and bereft of everything that truly matters. Our inner light dims, our spirit withers, and the soul fades to black.

Know that what you are prepared to accept, or not prepared to tolerate, sets the boundaries of how your life will be lived. Until we defy the belief systems coerced into us from birth — the notions that disempower and enslave us — we can never rise above them to create new beliefs that set our spirits free.

No matter who you are, what you have been through, or what is to come, it is a choice you make that determines your outcome.

To those who are lost, I say rise. To the broken, I say rise. To those who feel defeated, I say rise. There is a mechanism within you, a power just waiting for you to actuate it. The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago. The second best time is now.
