On the Other Side of Fear

We argue for our limitations, because we know that when we argue for them, we get to keep them. On the other side of fear lives your possibility.

It is a funny thing, fear. We are reminded every day of what it holds us back from. We see it when we look in the mirror, in our choices, in where we live and who we surround ourselves with. We feel it when we reflect on all the missed opportunities and the chances we let slip away.

We make excuses for it. We argue for our limitations, because we know that when we argue for them in the name of fear, we get to keep them. We get to stay inside our comfort zone. We win the moment under the guise of doing the smart thing, when fear is the true puppet master behind every decision not to act.

We argue for our limitations, because we know that when we argue for them, we get to keep them. On the other side of fear lives your possibility.

Fear is an insidious friend who sits with us and refuses to leave, even when no longer welcome. It makes us liars. It stops us from acting and robs us of more in life. It bullies us, and yet we keep paying the bully through our attention and focus, because it promises to keep us safe from the world.

I say to you, no more of this. No more fear. No more falling back. The line must be drawn here and no further. I have seen first-hand what is on the other side of fear, and I urge you, with all my heart, to cross over and become who you were meant to be. No matter your history, your history is not your destiny.

You have to be smarter than your fear and stronger than your pain. And when you are able to make that reality, miracles appear and your entire world changes. On the other side of fear lives your possibility — you just have to have the courage to take the leap required to get there.

Be who you needed when you were younger. Let there be light.
